The Waters of Minocqua honors American Express, Discover, MasterCard and Visa.
DO YOU ACCEPT DEBIT CARDS?
By presenting your debit card for payment, you are authorizing The Waters of Minocqua to hold funds immediately from your account for payment. We also hold an estimated amount for incidental expenses so that you may charge goods and services to your account. Funds that are held as a deposit and not used during your stay will be released by The Waters of Minocqua following your check out. The date you will have access to these released funds will depend upon your financial institution’s policy. The Waters of Minocqua is not responsible for your bank’s authorization and overdraft policies.
DO YOU ACCEPT CHECKS?
No personal checks will be accepted at the time of check-in. Any check payments must be received at least 30 days prior to reservation date. At Check-In, a valid credit card and ID must be presented. Please contact our reservations office at 715-358-4000 for more details or if you have any questions.
WHAT IS THE RESORT FEE?
The Waters of Minocqua charges a nominal resort fee to all guests in order to provide additional services that are often charged individually by other resorts. This fee covers services such as wireless Internet, self-parking, fitness center access, in-room coffee, towels in the waterpark, and local phone calls.
HOW OLD DO YOU HAVE TO BE TO BOOK A ROOM?
Our resort policy requires that there is at least one adult 21 years of age or older to rent a room in the resort.
WHAT IS THE CANCELLATION POLICY?
When bad weather or a family member’s sickness inhibits you from your travel plans we will gladly rebook your getaway. In the event you must cancel your reservations, you have 48 hours before arrival to do so without penalty. If inside of the cancellation period, there will be no refund.
WHAT IS NEEDED TO CHECK-IN?
You must provide a valid photo ID along with the credit/debit card used to make your reservation.
HOW MUCH DOES PARKING COST?
All parking at The Waters of Minocqua is complimentary. The Waters of Minocqua is not liable for any damage to your vehicle. Please make sure that your vehicle is locked at all times.
CAN I REQUEST A PARTICULAR ROOM OR SUITE STYLE?
Room or Suite style preference must be booked at time of reservation.
DO YOU HAVE ROOMS WITH BALCONIES OR PATIOS?
All rooms come with a balcony or patio. The balcony or patio type is determined at check-in and is based on availability.
WHAT AMENITIES DO ROOMS HAVE?
Each room comes standard with microwave, mini fridge, wet bar, coffee maker, hair dryer, iron and ironing board.
DO YOU HAVE ACCESSIBLE ROOMS?
Accessible suites are labeled as such and marked by an accessible icon within the booking process. If you would prefer to make a reservation over the phone, please call 715-358-4000. We can offer a variety of options to meet your needs!
WILL MY ROOM BE READY WHEN I ARRIVE?
Room check-in does not begin until 4:00 p.m. or as your room becomes available. However, you can arrive early to begin using the waterpark. There are changing rooms, lockers and showers available for you.
HOW DO I FILE FOR TAX EXEMPT WITH YOUR RESORT?
Special instructions are required in order to process your reservation for as Tax Exempt. Please call the resort at 715-358-4000 for details.
DO YOU OFFER STATE RATES? / WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?
State rates are negotiated for larger groups and must be approved by Group Sales in advance. Individuals must be traveling on state business and part of a group in order to qualify. State rates are not available on weekends, peak seasons or holiday periods.
DO YOU HAVE AN ATM?
An ATM machine is located in the lobby of the resort.
WHERE ARE YOUR ELEVATORS LOCATED?
There are two elevators in the resort:
· Off the Lobby
· South end of building
DO YOU HAVE A FITNESS CENTER?
The fitness center is open 6:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m. and is located on the 1st floor of the resort. Must be 18 years or older to use the exercise equipment. Door code is located in key packet.
DO YOU HAVE CRIBS?
Pack-n-Plays are available to rent. Please inquire at the resort front desk. Based on availability.
DO YOU HAVE GIFT CERTIFICATES?
Gift certificates make a great holiday or birthday present and are available for purchase at the front desk. Please call 715-358-4000 for more information.
HOW OFTEN DOES HOUSEKEEPING CLEAN ROOMS?
Resort rooms are serviced upon check-out only. If you would like any cleaning supplies, please ask the Front Desk.
WHERE ARE ICE MACHINES LOCATED?
Ice machines are located near the main elevator on each floor.
IS THERE WI-FI AVAILABLE?
High-speed wireless Internet is complimentary throughout the resort.
ARE SELF-SERVE LAUNDRY FACILITIES AVAILABLE?
Coin-operated washers and dryers are located on the 1st floor of the resort.
DO YOU HAVE A LOST AND FOUND?
Lost and found items should be brought to the attention of the front desk. Found items can be mailed at the owner’s expense. The Waters of Minocqua is not responsible for lost items.
CAN I MAIL ITEMS FROM THE RESORT?
You may leave outgoing mail at the front desk. Postage is available for purchase at the front desk. Mail goes out daily Monday through Friday.
ARE OUTSIDE DELIVERIES ACCEPTED AT THE RESORT?
All deliveries to the resort must be picked up at the front desk.
The Waters of Minocqua is pet friendly with a $25 per pet, per night cleaning fee. Pet may not be unattended in the room at any time and must be on a leash in the building.
Quiet time is 10 pm to 8 am. Bed times vary for our guests, so please be mindful of noise and let our other guests enjoy a good night’s rest.
The Waters of Minocqua is 100% smoke-free. Smoking is prohibited in the entire building. If you are found smoking, you will be asked to leave (without refund) and charged a $500 deep cleaning fee.
SNACKS AND BEVERAGES
A variety of soft drinks, juices and snacks are available for purchase. Our Sweet Shop is located in the lobby and is open 24-hours a day, seven days a week.
IS THE RESORT WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE?
Our resort public spaces, accessible rooms, and waterpark decks are ADA compliant. Temporary use of wheelchairs are available through guest services on a first come, first serve basis.
CAN GUESTS CHARGE TO THEIR ROOM?
As long as we have a credit card on file, you are welcome to charge back to your room.
ARE THERE ANY ON-SITE RESTAURANTS?
The Waters of Minocqua has a full service bar and pub in house open Wednesday & Thursday from 4-9pm and Friday & Saturday from 4-10pm. The waterpark Snack Bar is also open seasonally. Visit our dining page for more information.
ARE THERE ROLLAWAY BEDS OR AIR MATTRESSES AVAILABLE TO RENT?
Rollaway beds are available upon request. First come, first serve for a small rental fee.
ARE THERE SAFES IN THE ROOMS FOR VALUABLES?
No. We do not have safes available to the general public in the resort rooms or at the front desk.
WHAT IS THE TAX EXEMPT POLICY?
In order to be tax exempt the reservation(s) must be made in the name of the individual who is tax exempt and paid with the organization’s credit card or checking account (check must be received 30 days in advance of arrival). The individual must also fill out a tax-exempt form from The Waters of Minocqua’s accounting department and provide appropriate documentation.

Wristbands are required for access to our waterparks.
ARE THE WATERSLIDES WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE?
Waterslides and our elevated attractions are not wheelchair accessible.
ARE THERE TABLES AND CHAIRS TO LEAVE OUR BELONGINGS?
There are plenty of tables and chairs available on a first come, first serve basis throughout the waterpark. Larger items, such as luggage, will need to be kept in your room or vehicle.
ARE LIFE JACKETS PROVIDED?
Guests are encouraged to bring their own, Coast Guard approved, life jackets. Life jackets are available in the waterpark on a first come, first serve basis. We strongly recommend that children under 48 inches and weak or non-swimmers wear a life jacket. Please note that inflatable toys are not allowed in the waterpark.
ARE THERE ANY RESTRICTIONS FOR PREGNANT GUESTS?
Because we do offer some rides that are considered to be extreme, we encourage you to view the restrictions for each attraction. We also discourage use of the hot tubs.
ARE COOLERS OR CARRY-IN FOOD AND BEVERAGE PERMITTED?
No outside food or beverage of any kind are permitted in our waterparks or any public area within the resort. You are welcome to bring food and beverage to your resort.
ARE TOWELS PROVIDED?
Towels are provided for your family in the waterpark on a first come, first serve basis. You are encouraged to bring a beach towel or cover up as we ask that the resort towels stay in the waterpark area.
ARE PEOPLE WEARING CASTS ALLOWED?
Casts are allowed in the waterpark. There are requirements for certain rides for maintaining body positions such as grasping handles or keeping legs in position. These criteria, in addition to how the cast will contact the ride will determine your ability to wear a cast on a ride.
DO CHILDREN NEED TO BE SUPERVISED?
All children under the age of 18 should be accompanied by a supervising adult at all times in the waterpark.

WHAT CLOTHING AND FOOTWARE SHOULD BE WORN?
We recommend that you bring bathing suits, aqua socks, or flip flops for the 84-degree waterpark. Our resort is considered casual but we do ask that when you are outside of the waterpark that shirts and shoes are worn.
IS USE OF THE WATERPARKS INCLUDED WITH MY STAY?
Yes. The waterparks are included for each registered guest (not to exceed maximum occupancy for your room type). Your waterpark wristbands are valid from the time you check-in until close on the day of your checkout.
HOW CLEAN IS THE WATERPARK?
Our waterpark utilizes state-of-the-art water treatment equipment to ensure our water quality exceeds health code requirements and we sanitize our waterpark floors every day. We ask that guests shower before and after using the waterpark, taking children to the bathroom often, not swimming when ill and that diaper dependent persons wear a swim diaper.
DO YOU HAVE BANQUET, GROUP AND CONFERENCE SERVICES?

HOW DO I SET UP A GROUP STAY?
Be it a wedding, corporate meeting, youth group or class trip, our sales and catering staff are eager to help you plan a great stay. The Waters of Minocqua offers spacious meeting rooms equipped with wireless and other state-of-the-art meeting amenities. Our accommodating staff will assist you in planning meals, team building exercises, local excursions and more.
MAY WE BRING OUR OWN FOOD AND BEVERAGES TO THE CONFERENCE CENTER?
No outside food or beverage are allowed within the Conference Center. Please contact your Event Detailer for questions on tradeshow sample restrictions.
CAN A ROOM IN GROUP BLOCK BE BOOKED ONLINE?
No, unfortunately this is not possible. Please call 715-358-4000 to book under the specific group block.
IS CAKE CUTTING AND SERVING INCLUDED?
No – Cake cutting and serving will need to be done by the caterer or someone you pick (family member, friend, etc.)
DOES THE CAKE HAVE TO COME FROM A LICENSED FACILITY?
Yes, a licensed baker must be utilized, and a copy of the license must be presented to be kept on file.
IS THERE A CHARGE FOR BARTENDERS?
Bartender services comes free of charge with all wedding packages.
WHAT IS THE SALES TAX RATE?
The tax rate is 5.5% for the State of Wisconsin.
DO YOU OFFER IN-HOUSE CATERING FOR WEDDINGS?
No – The bride and groom may choose their own licensed caterer. Caterers are required to do water service, clear plates, silverware, water glasses, wash all dishes and take care of the trash.)
